emdee does not collect any data. No personal information, no usage analytics, no document contents. Nothing.
emdee collects no personal information such as your name or email address, no usage or interaction data, no document contents or file names, no location data, and no advertising identifiers. There is no account to create.
emdee sends nothing. There is no server behind it, no account, no analytics, and no advertising SDKs. Your documents and your settings are never transmitted to the developer or to anyone else.
There is one case where the app does reach the network, and it is worth stating plainly. If a document you open contains an image written as an http or https address, emdee requests that image in order to display it. The site hosting it can therefore see your IP address, exactly as it would if you opened that address in a browser. This happens only for addresses that are already written in your document. Images stored as files are not displayed at all and are never read.
Links behave the same way: a link you click opens in your browser, and from that point your browser's own privacy applies.
One technical note: on Mac, emdee's sandbox declares the network entitlement, which macOS also requires before it will start the app's rendering engine (WKWebView) at all.
Documents you create or edit are saved only to locations you choose — storage on your own device, or a sync service such as iCloud Drive that you have configured yourself. emdee opens the file where it already lives and accesses its contents solely to display and edit them; nothing is ever sent to the developer.
Your settings — theme, fonts, text size, column width, language — are stored only on the device where you set them, in the system's standard preferences store, and are removed when you delete the app. They are never sent anywhere, and they are not synced between your devices.
If you have opted in to sharing diagnostics with Apple, Apple may provide the developer with crash reports and aggregate statistics in a form that does not identify you. That mechanism is governed by Apple's privacy policy. emdee itself collects none of this.
Because emdee collects no data at all, it collects no personal information from children of any age.
If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new effective date. We have no plans to change the no-data-collection policy.

emdee は、いかなるデータも収集しません。個人情報も、利用状況も、文書の内容も、一切です。
emdee は、氏名・メールアドレスなどの個人情報、アプリの利用状況や操作の記録、開いた文書の内容やファイル名、位置情報、広告識別子のいずれも収集しません。アカウント登録もありません。
emdee は何も送信しません。背後にサーバーはなく、アカウントもなく、解析ツールや広告 SDK のような第三者のサービスも組み込んでいません。文書の内容も設定も、開発者を含む誰かに送られることはありません。
ただし、アプリがネットワークに出る場合が一つだけあります。はっきり書きます。開いた文書に http または https のアドレスで画像が書かれていた場合、emdee はそれを表示するために取りに行きます。そのため、画像を置いているサイトからは、お客様の IP アドレスが見えます。同じアドレスをブラウザで開いたときと同じことです。これは文書にそのアドレスが書かれている場合だけで、ファイルとして置かれた画像は表示もせず、読み取りもしません。
リンクも同じ扱いです。押したリンクはブラウザで開き、そこから先はブラウザ側のプライバシーの話になります。
技術的な補足として、Mac 版のサンドボックス設定にはネットワーク権限が含まれています。macOS が表示エンジン（WKWebView）をこの権限なしには起動しない、という事情もそこに重なっています。
作成・編集した文書は、ご自身が指定した場所（お使いの端末の中、または iCloud Drive などご自身が設定した保存先）にのみ保存されます。emdee はファイルをあった場所のまま開き、その内容にアクセスできるのは表示と編集のためだけで、内容が開発者に送られることはありません。
テーマ・フォント・文字の大きさ・本文の幅・言語といった設定は、それを変更した端末の中（OS の標準的な設定保存領域）にのみ保存され、アプリを削除すると消えます。外部へ送られることはなく、端末どうしで同期もされません。
App Store でのクラッシュレポートや統計情報は、お客様が Apple に対して共有を許可した場合に限り、個人を特定できない形で Apple から開発者に提供されることがあります。この仕組みは Apple のプライバシーポリシーに従います。emdee 自身がこれらを収集することはありません。
emdee はデータを収集しないため、年齢を問わず、お子様の個人情報を収集することもありません。
本ポリシーを変更する場合は、このページで告知し、発効日を更新します。データを収集しないという方針を変える予定はありません。
